Introduction
Welcome to Corenexis. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website https://corenexis.com and all related services, products, subdomains, and platforms operated by Corenexis (collectively, the "Services").
Corenexis operates on a unified account model. A single Corenexis account created at accounts.corenexis.com gives you access to every Corenexis product, including our API platform and Cashly. These Terms apply to all of them.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services.
1. Access to Services
Subject to these Terms, Corenexis grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, limited licence to access and use our Services. Where a Service is expressly offered for commercial use — such as our API platform — you may use it in your own applications and business operations in accordance with the plan you have subscribed to. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to the Services and the Content.
Access Restrictions
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Services (or any part thereof) with or without notice
- Charge fees in connection with your use of the Services
- Restrict access to some or all of our Services
- Apply rate limits, quotas, and fair-use thresholds to any Service
- Limit, suspend, or terminate specific user accounts
- Refuse service at our sole discretion
One Platform, One Account
Corenexis provides integrated services across all our products. You do not need a separate account for each product — one Corenexis account serves all Corenexis needs, including unified support, billing, terms, privacy, and account management.
2. Your Corenexis Account
Corenexis accounts are created and managed at accounts.corenexis.com. This is the single sign-on system for the entire Corenexis ecosystem.
Unified Access
- One account gives you access to every Corenexis product and service
- Your account identity, profile, and security settings are shared across all products
- Billing, credit balance, and subscriptions are managed centrally through dash.corenexis.com
- You do not need to register separately for the API platform, Cashly, or any other Corenexis product
Registration and Accuracy
When you register, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information, and you must keep that information up to date. If you provide information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any current or future use of the Services.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Immediately notify Corenexis of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security
- Enable two-factor authentication where available
- Keep your API keys, tokens, and secrets confidential and never expose them in public repositories or client-side code
- Exit your account at the end of each session, especially on public or shared devices
You are responsible for any usage or charges resulting from a leaked, shared, or compromised API key.
Account Sharing and Multiple Accounts
- Accounts are for a single user or a single organisation and may not be resold or shared
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, trials, free quotas, pricing, or an enforcement action is prohibited
- Creating a new account after a prior account was suspended or terminated for a violation is prohibited, and the new account may be terminated without notice
3. Service Availability and Regions
Our Services are available globally, subject to applicable law and to the payment methods supported in your region. Some individual products have their own regional limits — for example, Cashly is currently available to users in India only.
Unserviceable Regions
We may add or remove regions at any time for legal, regulatory, sanctions-related, or operational reasons. For any regional enquiries, contact us at [email protected].
4. User Representations
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and you agree to comply with them
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and are legally able to enter into a binding contract
- You will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation
- All information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete, and you will maintain its accuracy
- You are not located in, or acting on behalf of anyone located in, a country or region subject to sanctions that would make your use of the Services unlawful
- You have not previously been suspended or terminated from the Services for a policy violation
5. Acceptable Use and Content Policy
This section applies to all content you upload, submit, transmit, generate, process, or store through any Corenexis Service, including through our APIs. You are solely responsible for the content you send through our Services and for the content your own users or applications send through your integration.
Strictly Prohibited Content
You must not use any Corenexis Service to upload, transmit, generate, host, process, or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor in any form, whether real, illustrated, animated, or AI-generated
- Pornographic, sexually explicit, or NSFW content of any kind, including adult material involving consenting adults — such content is not permitted on the platform regardless of legality in your jurisdiction
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content produced through coercion, trafficking, or exploitation
- Content that is illegal under any applicable law, or that facilitates, promotes, or instructs others in illegal activity
- Content depicting or glorifying graphic violence, gore, terrorism, or violent extremism
- Content that harasses, threatens, defames, or incites hatred or violence against any person or group
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, phishing pages, spoofed login pages, or other malicious code or material
- Content that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other right of any person
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content, including impersonation of any person or organisation
- Unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, or content used to operate a spam or scam campaign
Zero Tolerance: Child Sexual Abuse Material
Corenexis maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material and any content that sexualises or exploits minors. There are no exceptions to this policy and no context in which such content is permitted.
Where such content is detected or credibly reported, the following applies immediately and without prior notice:
- The account is permanently terminated, along with any linked or associated accounts
- All access to every Corenexis product and service is revoked
- No data export, backup, or copy of any kind will be provided, under any circumstances
- Any remaining CN Coin balance, credits, prepaid amounts, or active subscriptions are forfeited in full with no refund
- The decision is final and non-negotiable, and is not subject to appeal, review, or reinstatement
- The matter, along with the relevant account data, content, access logs, IP addresses, and payment information, will be reported and preserved for law enforcement and the appropriate authorities and reporting bodies in the relevant jurisdictions, as required or permitted by law
We may preserve and disclose this material and associated account records to authorities without notifying you, where notice is prohibited by law or would risk interfering with an investigation.
Automated Detection and Moderation
Corenexis operates automated systems that scan, classify, and monitor content and traffic passing through our Services, including API requests and uploads, in order to detect abuse, prohibited content, and violations of this policy.
- These systems may act automatically and without prior notice or human review to temporarily or permanently suspend your service, API access, or account
- Detection may be based on content analysis, hash matching, behavioural signals, traffic patterns, abuse reports, or third-party intelligence
- Automated action may be taken against a specific API, a specific service, or your entire account, depending on the severity of the detection
- For serious violations — including CSAM — suspension is permanent and immediate, and is not subject to the appeal process described below
- Automated systems are not perfect. If you believe an action was taken in error, you may request a review as described in the Enforcement section, except where these Terms state that a decision is non-negotiable
You must not attempt to evade, disable, obfuscate, or circumvent our detection and moderation systems, including by encrypting, encoding, fragmenting, or otherwise disguising prohibited content.
Your Responsibility for Downstream Users
If you build an application, product, or service on top of the Corenexis API, you are responsible for the conduct of your own end users. You must maintain your own acceptable use controls, respond to abuse reports about your integration, and cooperate with us in investigating abuse originating from your API keys. Violations committed by your end users are treated as violations by you.
6. Enforcement, Suspension, and Termination
We may take enforcement action where we believe, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, our Acceptable Use and Content Policy, or applicable law, or where your use poses a risk to Corenexis, our users, our infrastructure, or third parties.
Actions We May Take
- Issue a warning or request corrective action
- Remove, disable, or block access to specific content
- Apply rate limits, throttling, or reduced quotas
- Revoke or rotate API keys
- Temporarily suspend a specific API, service, or your entire account pending investigation
- Permanently suspend or terminate your account and all associated services
- Forfeit any remaining CN Coin balance where termination results from a violation
- Report the matter to payment processors, hosting providers, regulators, or law enforcement
- Pursue legal remedies, including recovery of costs and damages
Temporary Suspension
A temporary suspension may be applied automatically or manually while we investigate. During a temporary suspension, API calls may fail, active subscriptions may continue to accrue or be paused at our discretion, and your data remains stored but inaccessible. If the investigation clears you, access is restored.
Permanent Termination
Permanent termination is applied to severe or repeated violations. On permanent termination:
- Your right to use all Corenexis Services immediately ceases
- All active subscriptions are cancelled
- Any remaining CN Coin balance is forfeited and is not refunded
- Your data may be deleted or retained as required by law or for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes
- We may decline to provide a data export where the termination relates to prohibited content or fraud
Requesting a Review
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may write to [email protected] with your account email and relevant details. We will review the request and respond, but we are under no obligation to reverse an action. Decisions relating to child sexual abuse material are final, non-negotiable, and not subject to review or reinstatement.
Survival
All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.
7. Prohibited Activities
In addition to the content restrictions in Section 5, you agree not to:
- Systematically retrieve data or content from the Services to create or compile a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us
- Trick, defraud, or mislead us or other users, especially in any attempt to obtain sensitive account information such as passwords or API keys
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Services
- Make improper use of our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct
- Use the Services in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations
- Engage in unauthorised framing of or linking to the Services
- Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, or other malicious material
- Delete or alter any copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content
- Impersonate another user or person
- Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Services or connected networks
- Harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or agents
- Attempt to bypass any measures designed to prevent or restrict access to the Services, including rate limits and quotas
- Copy or adapt the Services' software, including but not limited to PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code
- Except as permitted by applicable law, decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software making up part of the Services
- Resell, sublicense, white-label, or redistribute API access without our prior written agreement
- Use our Services to build or train a directly competing product
- Access or use the Services in any way that impacts the stability of our servers or the experience of other users
- Abuse the platform credit system, exploit pricing or billing discrepancies, or attempt to fraudulently obtain CN Coins
- Abuse free trials, free quotas, or promotional credits, including through multiple or automated account creation
8. Intellectual Property Rights
The Services and their entire contents, features, and functionality (including all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Corenexis, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content and Your Applications
Corenexis does not claim ownership of the data you submit to our APIs, the output generated for you, or the applications you build using our Services. You retain your rights in your own content, subject to the licence you grant us in Section 9 to operate and provide the Services.
Usage Restrictions
You must not:
- Reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our platform materials except as expressly permitted
- Use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences, or graphics separately from the accompanying text
- Delete or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices
Trademarks
The Corenexis name, the Cashly name, our logos, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Corenexis or its affiliates. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission.
9. User Generated Content
Our Services may allow you to post, submit, store, process, or otherwise make available information, text, graphics, files, or other material ("User Content"). You are responsible for your User Content, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
Licence to Operate the Services
By submitting User Content to the Services, you grant Corenexis a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, process, reproduce, and display that User Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Services, to comply with law, and to enforce our policies. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security, abuse-prevention, or backup purposes.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or control all rights in and to the User Content and have the right to grant the licence above
- The User Content does not violate the privacy, publicity, copyright, contractual, or other rights of any person
- The User Content complies with our Acceptable Use and Content Policy in Section 5
Monitoring and Enforcement
We have the right, but not the obligation, to:
- Scan, review, or moderate User Content, whether automatically or manually
- Remove or refuse to host any User Content for any or no reason
- Disclose your identity or other information about you to any third party who claims that material submitted by you violates their rights, or to law enforcement
- Take appropriate legal action for any illegal or unauthorised use of the Services
- Terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Services for any violation of these Terms
10. Products and Services
Corenexis offers a range of digital services and products, all accessible through a single Corenexis account.
Corenexis Accounts — accounts.corenexis.com
accounts.corenexis.com is our unified account and sign-in system. You register once here and gain access to every Corenexis product without creating separate accounts.
Corenexis API Platform — api.corenexis.com
api.corenexis.com is our primary API platform, offering multiple APIs each with their own pricing plan. Full documentation and per-API pricing are available on the platform. See Section 11 for the full API platform terms.
API Dashboard — dash.corenexis.com
dash.corenexis.com is where you subscribe to APIs, purchase and manage CN Coins, control autopay, view usage and transaction history, and manage billing across the platform.
Cashly — cashly.corenexis.com
cashly.corenexis.com is our expense tracking product, currently available exclusively to users in India. Cashly runs on its own subscription billing and does not use CN Coins. A Cashly Android app is also available. See Section 12 for the full Cashly terms.
Corenexis Tools — tools.corenexis.com
tools.corenexis.com provides a suite of free digital utilities, including web, SEO, image, and security tools.
Corenexis Blog — blog.corenexis.com
blog.corenexis.com publishes technology insights, development and maintenance guides, digital marketing tutorials, and SEO and AI best practices.
Development and Digital Services
Corenexis also provides professional services including website development, AI automation, and other digital services. These are offered through corenexis.com and are subject to individual project agreements in addition to these Terms.
Product Updates and Modifications
Products and services may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. Features may be added or removed and pricing may change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
12. Cashly Terms
Cashly (cashly.corenexis.com) is Corenexis's expense tracking product, currently available exclusively to users in India. The following terms apply specifically to Cashly.
Eligibility
- Cashly is currently available to users in India only
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use Cashly
- Cashly is accessed with your Corenexis account from accounts.corenexis.com
Plans and Pricing
- Cashly has a free plan, Always Free, and paid monthly plans starting from ₹49 per month
- Current plan pricing, inclusions, and limits are displayed on the Cashly platform and may change from time to time
- Cashly billing is completely separate from the CN Coin system and does not use or consume CN Coins
Free Trial and Automatic Billing
Important: Cashly may offer a free trial to new users. Please read the following carefully:
- When your free trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription and your saved payment method is charged
- The plan and price that will apply after the trial are shown to you before the trial begins
- To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the trial period ends
- Once the trial has converted and payment has been taken, that billing period is non-refundable
- Your subscription then renews automatically each month until you cancel
Managing Your Billing — Web Only
Please note: Cashly subscription and billing management is available only through the Cashly web app in a browser at cashly.corenexis.com.
- The Cashly Android app does not support billing management. You cannot subscribe, upgrade, downgrade, change payment method, or cancel from within the Android app
- All billing actions — including cancelling before your trial ends — must be performed in the browser web app
- You are responsible for cancelling in time through the web app; being unable to locate the option inside the Android app is not grounds for a refund
Cancellation
- You may cancel your Cashly subscription at any time from the web app
- Cancellation stops future billing; it does not refund the current period
- You retain access until the end of the current paid billing period
- After that period ends, your account reverts to the free tier or is deactivated depending on your plan
Deleting Your Cashly Account
- You can delete your Cashly account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account in the web app. Deletion is immediate, permanent and cannot be undone.
- Deleting erases all of your Cashly data: transactions, banks, cards, wallets and balances, EMIs, subscriptions, bills, debts, your referral code, history and balance, your profile and preferences, your API keys, and every signed-in session.
- Your subscription must not be active. Cancel it first and delete once the paid period has ended, so that no payment mandate can charge an account that no longer exists.
- Any referral balance must be redeemed first. That balance is money you have earned, and deleting the account would forfeit it.
- Deleting your Cashly account does not delete your Corenexis account at accounts.corenexis.com, which is separate and may be used for other Corenexis products.
- Where a payment was actually charged, we retain the invoice as an accounting record for tax and legal compliance. Those records are stripped of your personal details.
Inactive Free Accounts and Data Deletion
Important: this applies only to accounts on the free plan. Accounts with an active paid subscription are never deleted for inactivity.
- A Cashly account on the Always Free plan is treated as inactive when no transaction has been added, edited or deleted in it for two years (730 days).
- The data in an inactive free account is permanently deleted. This covers all transactions, debts, EMIs, subscriptions, upcoming bills, bank accounts, cards, wallets, your own categories and your API keys.
- We remind you before anything is deleted. Reminders are emailed to the account's email address and to any CC email address saved on the account, 30 days, 7 days and 3 days before the deletion date. Each reminder states the exact date on which the data will be deleted.
- You can stop the deletion at any time before that date by signing in and adding, editing or deleting any transaction, or by subscribing to a paid plan. Doing so cancels the scheduled deletion immediately.
- If no action is taken by the deletion date, the data is deleted and cannot be recovered — not by you and not by us. There is no retrieval or restore option.
- Your sign-in and your billing records (invoices and billing details) are kept. You can still sign in afterwards and start again with an empty account.
- You are responsible for keeping the email address on your account current and reachable so that these reminders reach you.
Financial Data
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all financial information you enter into Cashly
- Your financial data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers, scoped so that only your account can read it
- You retain control over your financial information
- We do not share your detailed financial data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy
Limitations
You acknowledge that:
- Corenexis is not a financial institution, investment adviser, or tax consultant
- Cashly is a personal expense tracking tool provided for informational purposes only
- Projections and calculations are estimates and should not be relied upon for major financial decisions
- You should consult qualified financial professionals for significant financial decisions
Corenexis is not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on your use of Cashly. You agree to use Cashly at your own risk.
13. Payment Terms, CN Coins and Autopay
Many of our services are free. Paid services are billed in one of two ways: the API platform uses our prepaid platform credit system (CN Coins), managed at dash.corenexis.com; Cashly uses its own separate subscription billing.
Platform Credits (CN Coins)
- Platform credits are called CN Coins
- 1 CN Coin = 1 USD in platform value
- CN Coins are a prepaid digital platform token. They are not real currency, legal tender, stored value, e-money, a security, a cryptocurrency, or a bank deposit of any kind
- CN Coins can only be used within the Corenexis platform and are non-transferable between accounts
- CN Coins cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or converted back to money
- CN Coins do not expire under normal circumstances
- CN Coins may become usable across additional Corenexis products in the future
Depositing CN Coins
- You deposit CN Coins from the dashboard by paying through a supported payment gateway for your region
- The exact amount you will be charged in your local currency is displayed before you confirm
- Credits are added to your balance immediately on successful payment
- A confirmation email is sent for every deposit
Payment Gateways
The available payment gateway depends on your region:
- Paddle — global and international payments. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for these transactions and may appear on your bank or card statement in place of Corenexis
- Razorpay — payments for Indian customers, supporting credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking, and digital wallets
- Additional gateways may be offered as displayed on the dashboard at the time of purchase
Corenexis does not store or process your card numbers or banking credentials. All payment data is handled by the respective gateway under applicable security standards.
Pricing and Currency
- The local currency cost of CN Coins is determined by country-specific pricing and may reflect exchange rates and regional adjustments
- Applicable taxes such as GST or VAT may be added at checkout depending on your region
- Pricing may vary by country and is subject to change
Autopay
Autopay controls whether your CN Coin balance can be charged automatically for renewals and ongoing usage.
- Autopay can be enabled or disabled at any time from your dashboard at dash.corenexis.com
- When autopay is enabled: active subscriptions and usage charges are deducted automatically from your CN Coin balance on the due date, keeping your services running without interruption
- When autopay is disabled: no CN Coins will be deducted automatically from your balance. Subscriptions will not auto-renew and may lapse, pause, or be cancelled on their renewal date unless you renew manually
- Disabling autopay does not cancel an existing subscription for the period already paid for, and does not refund credits already deducted
Exception — Recoveries, Disputes and Fraud
Disabling autopay does not prevent Corenexis from debiting your CN Coin balance where necessary to correct or recover amounts. Regardless of your autopay setting, we may deduct from your balance in cases including:
- A chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal filed against a prior deposit
- A fraudulent, unauthorised, or reversed payment transaction
- Credits added in error due to a technical or gateway fault
- Recovery of amounts owed to Corenexis under these Terms
If your balance is insufficient to cover such a recovery, your account may be suspended until the matter is resolved.
Non-Refundable Nature of CN Coins
Important: CN Coins are a prepaid digital platform token. Once CN Coins have been successfully deposited into your account, they are strictly non-refundable. We do not provide refunds on deposited credits, unused balances, or credits already spent on subscriptions or usage. CN Coins cannot be converted to cash, withdrawn, or transferred. Please review our full Refund Policy for the narrow exceptions that apply to failed transactions and payment errors.
Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, no CN Coins are added to your account
- Services may be restricted until sufficient credits are available
- Corenexis is not responsible for delays caused by payment gateways or banking systems
Price Changes
- Pricing for CN Coins, API plans, and Cashly plans may change from time to time
- Updated pricing will be reflected on the dashboard and the relevant platform before it takes effect
- Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the revised pricing
14. Refund Policy
CN Coins are non-refundable once deposited, and Cashly subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. Refunds, cancellations, and chargeback policies are governed in full by our separate Refund Policy. Please review it at https://corenexis.com/refund-policy.
15. Third-Party Websites and Content
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, and advertisements that are not owned or controlled by Corenexis. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
External Links

- We advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website you visit
- The presence of a link does not imply endorsement by Corenexis
Third-Party Processors and Integrations
Our Services rely on third parties including payment gateways (Paddle, Razorpay), infrastructure and security providers, and may integrate with external APIs. Use of such integrated services is subject to their own terms in addition to these Terms.
16. Advertisers

- Corenexis is not liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of such transactions

- Remove or refuse to host any User Content for any or no reason
- Terminate or deny access to the Services to any person for any reason

For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice via the Services, email, or other means. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
20. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. You and Corenexis irrevocably agree that the courts at Patna, Bihar, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with these Terms.

Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, please contact our support team at [email protected], explain your concerns in detail, and allow us a reasonable period of at least thirty (30) days to address them.
Arbitration
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by Corenexis, the seat and venue of arbitration shall be Patna, Bihar, India, and the language of the arbitration shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.
Individual Basis
Any arbitration or proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, our total liability to you for any cause whatsoever will at all times be limited to the lesser of the total amount actually paid by you to us in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 500.00.
25. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Corenexis, including our subsidiaries, affiliates, and our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, made by any third party arising out of your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your violation of the rights of a third party, any User Content you submit, or the conduct of end users of any application you build on our APIs.

Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, sales representative, or employment relationship between you and Corenexis.
29. Sign in with Corenexis — Terms for Developers
This section applies to you if you register an application that uses Corenexis Accounts to sign users in (“Sign in with Corenexis”). It is in addition to the rest of these Terms. In it, “your application” means any OAuth client you register, and “user data” means any information about a Corenexis user that your application receives through our APIs.
29.1 Your account and your credentials
- You must keep two-step verification enabled on the Corenexis account that owns an application. An application owner can obtain tokens for every user who signs in to their application, so that account is a high-value target.
- Your
client_secret is confidential. Store it server-side only. Never place it in client-side code, a mobile or desktop binary, a public repository, or any location a third party can read.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out with your credentials. If you believe a secret has been exposed, rotate it immediately from the Developer area and tell us.
- You must register accurate redirect URLs that you control. You may not register a URL on a domain you do not control, nor an open redirector.
29.2 Accurate identity
- Your application's display name, logo, website and policy links must accurately represent who you are and what your application does. They appear on the consent screen, where a user decides whether to trust you.
- You may not impersonate Corenexis, another business, or another application, nor present your application in a way likely to make a user believe it is operated by someone else.
- You must maintain a working, publicly reachable privacy policy for as long as your application is registered.
- A Verified badge, where granted, is a statement by Corenexis about a review we performed. You may not claim, imply or display verification you have not been granted.
29.3 What you may do with user data
- Use it only for the purpose the user approved — operating the application they signed in to. Any materially different use requires their separate, informed consent.
- Request and retain the minimum you need. Do not collect or keep user data your application does not actually use.
- Do not sell, rent, license or trade user data, and do not transfer it to a data broker, an advertising network, or any party building profiles of individuals.
- You may share user data with your own service providers only where they are bound to protect it at least as strictly as this section requires, and only to operate your application on your behalf. You remain responsible for what they do.
- Do not combine user data with data from other sources to identify, track or profile a person beyond what your application needs to work.
- Do not use user data to train machine-learning models, or to derive characteristics about a person (such as health, financial status, political views, religion, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity), unless the user has separately and explicitly agreed.
29.4 How you must protect it
- Encrypt user data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and protect it at rest with access controls appropriate to its sensitivity.
- Restrict access to those in your organisation who genuinely need it, and remove that access promptly when they no longer do.
- Keep tokens confidential. Never log an access token, refresh token or authorization code in a place others can read, and never pass one to a third party.
- Delete user data when it is no longer needed for the purpose the user approved, when the user disconnects your application, or when the user asks you to — unless you are legally required to keep it.
- Honour a user's disconnection promptly. When a user removes your application from their Corenexis account, you must stop using the data you hold for them and delete it in accordance with the point above.
- Tell us about a breach. If user data obtained through Corenexis is exposed, accessed without authorisation, or lost, notify us at [email protected] without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after you become aware, and cooperate with us in responding. This is in addition to any obligation you have to notify users or a regulator.
29.5 Technical conduct
- Do not attempt to obtain scopes, permissions or data your application has not been granted, and do not attempt to bypass the consent screen, the token endpoint's checks, or any rate limit.
- Do not use automated means to create accounts or applications, and do not use Sign in with Corenexis to enumerate, harvest or verify user identifiers or email addresses.
- Do not misrepresent to a user what your application will receive, or ask a user to approve on behalf of someone else.
- Respect the rate limits and token lifetimes we publish. They may change; we will make reasonable efforts to give notice of a material change.
29.6 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or permanently disable an application, an application's credentials, or the Corenexis account that owns it, at our discretion, where we reasonably believe that:
- this section or any other part of these Terms has been breached;
- the application misrepresents its identity, purpose or operator;
- user data has been misused, sold, or inadequately protected;
- the application is being used for fraud, phishing, malware, spam, or to harm users; or
- continued operation poses a security or legal risk to users or to Corenexis.
Where the risk is serious — an active compromise, an exposed secret, or ongoing harm to users — we may act immediately and without prior notice. Otherwise we will make reasonable efforts to contact you first and, where the issue is fixable, give you an opportunity to fix it. Suspension revokes your tokens and stops your users signing in, so keep the contact email on your account current.
You may stop using the service at any time by deleting your application from the Developer area, which deletes its credentials and sessions. Sections 29.3 and 29.4 continue to apply to any user data you still hold after your application is deleted or disabled.
29.7 No warranty for the identity service, and your responsibility to users
Sign in with Corenexis is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis, subject to the disclaimers and liability limits elsewhere in these Terms. You are responsible for your own relationship with your users, including your own privacy policy, your own legal compliance, and any claim a user makes against you arising from your application. You will indemnify Corenexis in accordance with Section 25 for claims arising from your application or your handling of user data.
